As you look through this section of Circle Journey ideas, remember that the best ideas are the ones that express how you feel and who you are...no matter how they look. Regardless of how you thought of them, what inspired them, or where you found them, the important thing is to get them into your Circle Journey Book and keep the ongoing connection with the ones you love.
There are so many possible ways to add to and
share your Circle Journey Books. The most telling and personal way is
to just write. For
many people, this is the most important and expressive way to share yourself.
Write about your feelings, your ideas, your hopes or dreams, or disappointments.
Be honest. Sometimes you may want to carefully construct what you want
to say, and other times try to be very spontaneous and just let thoughts
and feelings flow on to the pages. Of course its not easy for all of
us to spell perfectly, so many of us believe its more important to get
your thoughts out and express what youre thinking. Circle Journey Books
are a quiet, personal place to be whatever you want to be with loved ones.
to begin.
You can make your Circle Journey Book as simple or involved as
you want. Start by adding the connections label that comes on your
sticker sheets.First, write the names of the people sharing your unique
book with you. Then apply the sticker to the inside cover of your book.
One great way to use the special see-through
vellum introduction sheet is this: attach a
special picture or drawing to the second page
so its visible through the clear page in front of it.
Write the date and a few words, and youll have
an introduction all your own.
To start, write a page or more in your blank Circle Journey Book as if
it were a letter (or a quick note, a postcard, or a full length narrative of
a Day in the Life of YOU). Know the book will come back and you can
always add more if you end up forgetting something.
HANDWRITING: Some of us get so concerned that our handwritting is
not very good. SO WHAT? Everyone tells us that they would rather
get a scribbled personal note in a Circle Journey Book than anything
thats pre-printed. It is so true that its the thought that counts.
Sometimes, starting something is the toughest part . If this is true for
you, start by just writing down your feelings RIGHT NOW. Explain
the place youre sitting, or the view, or the weather. Maybe try writing
your introduction on a scrap paper first then commit it to the book.Try
different pens. It will get easier and easier to respond when your book
keeps going back and forth.
